Abby is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist focusing on developing healthy relationship with food, improving overall wellness through nutrition, management of food intolerances and allergies, eating disorder treatment, gut health, and more. She works with adults, children (age 5+), and families to help create the best possible health outcomes for each individual person.
Abby is a Health at Every Size (HAES) advocate, utilizing Intuitive Eating and positive nutrition models to improve nutritional health without fear, shame, or judgement. She is a believer that "all foods fit," and passionate about helping people increase confidence with food choices, improve body image, and reestablish a connection with food as a part of culture and social interrelation.

Abby is a Registered Dietitian Nuritionist credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Abby also holds a Master of Science in Nutrition and Metabolism from the University of Texas Medical Branch and a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Illinois.

Background |
Abby is from Illinois where she completed her bachelor's degree and then moved to Texas to complete her dietetic internship. During her internship, she participated in a research project at Texas Children's Hospital, developed recipes using local produce from Galveston's Own Farmers Market, and completed her clinical and food service through HCA Houston screening for malnutrition and creating nutrition prescriptions in the ICU during the COVID pandemic. Additionally, Abby provided individual nutrition counseling.
After passing her board exam, she worked in the non-profit realm providing individual nutrition counseling as well as development and implementation of cooking camps and outreach programs. She then relocated to Chicago, working at a group counseling practice specializing in eating disorders. Abby continued her individual counseling, as well as leading support groups, cooking demonstrations, group nutrition skills, individual and group supported meals. Abby currently resides Winston-Salem, North Carolina. |

Abby specializes in treating eating disorders and disordered eating, as well as diabetes management, gastrointestinal disorders such as Celiac disease and irritable bowl syndrome. She enjoys helping her clients improve their relationships with food and increase their overall wellness through nutrition and movement so they can live their best lives possible.
She particularly enjoys working with teens who struggle with disordered eating and body dysmorphia, children age 5+ who struggle with ARFID (Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder), and helping parents develop nutritional plans for their children to increase health and grow into their best selves. |
Personal Life |
Abby lives with her partner who is a psychiatry resident at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, and her black cat Malachi (who has proven to be good luck!) in Winston-Salem, NC. Abby loves cooking, reading, yoga, exploring local thrift shops and galleries, and any DIY craft or home improvement project she can get her hands on. She loves spending time with family and friends, watching movies, hiking the local trails, or trying out new restaurants and coffee shops.
